Zetech university is a private university. It has its main campus located on the right hand of Thika Super Highway towards Thika Town from Nairobi city. It’s town campus is located in Nairobi town near The National Archives.
This is the view of Zetech university from the entrance. It was started in 1999 by an engineering student at the University of Nairobi called Ken Mbiuki. This was due to high demand for computer education thus he establish a computer and that’s when his dream of starting a university began. training institute by the name , Zenith Technologies. The most reared type is the Layers. They are reared for the production of eggs. When layers are managed well they lay daily upto a 100%. This means , under good management, if a farmer has 100 birds, then he is capable of getting 100 eggs per day.
Layers birds, lays for a period of about 18 months after which they are sold for meat. After 18 months the birds are sold and new ones introduced. This is because at this age birds have exhausted on laying and nolo lay eggs 100%.
